We shouldn’t change with this world, the violence is everywhere, our streets, our schools, churches and even some homes. Keeping the toxic things out of our homes – violent movies, video games, etc. from reaching our young ones is one way of helping future generations.
Ana, thank you for dropping by…esp amidst your busy schedule! Much appreciated, my dear. Thank you for reading and commenting. Yes, there is too much violence everywhere. Senselessness…but as you said, we don’t have to get caught up with it. We can be different and we can make a difference. Have a wonderful week, my friend.
Such a profound question. And so terribly sad since hatred and violence are choices. If we merely chose to stop, we could live in a kinder, more peaceful world this afternoon. It breaks my heart.
You said it, Diana…Most of the pain we experience have been products of bad choices. It’s complicated, I know that, but still, we could do better, I think.
Thank you, Jaya. I am so glad that you felt that from this poem. I don’t linger in sadness for too long…but sometimes it’s there and something needs to be said.
That is a really good question. I think our fears are exaggerated by stories in the media and by politicians who promote racial and religious bigotry. As an Australia (where the gunman in NZ lived for most of his life) I am aware our certain politicians and media figures here who have really inflamed fear and hatred in some of the population.
Fear has definitely gained much following…thanks to all the different parties and factors. Thanks for your thoughts on this and for taking the time to visit and read. What season is it now in Australia? Are you enjoying a nice weather?

I am thinking whether we were ever sensitive to all these happening, seeing that violence was always around.

Little by little, step by step, the mind starts accepting, the chaos of life.

The sadness in your words is incredible and the picture enhances it well.

Agreed! I too focus on happiness but sometimes a little hint of sadness just begs to creep through.
