Questions:

Who do you admire the most and why?

I grew up admiring my great grandmother who raised 9 children by herself after my great grandfather passed away.  She sacrificed and worked tirelessly to feed her kids and keep a roof over their heads.  I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult things must have been for her but she never once gave up.

What have you learned about yourself within the past year?

I have learned that I can cook a pretty mean pork stew.  It took years and years but I think I finally got it!  Food is just that important in my life, as you can most probably tell.

What is your take on women empowerment?

It’s about time, I say!  I am grateful to be a witness to this powerful movement.  Growing up, I have always been called a feminist like it’s a bad thing because that’s just how strongly I have always felt about equality for us women. I have always believed in equality, not just in gender equality but equality among all mankind.  No one should be beneath anyone regardless of wealth, status, race or religion.  No one should be subjected to pain or harassment because “that’s the way it has always been”.  It’s time for a change and change has indeed come.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I can ‘t quite see beyond today if I am being absolutely honest and maybe it’s because I am hesitant to.  I think I am at a stage where my parents are getting older very quickly (or so it seems to me) and my kids are growing up too rapidly.  Rather than focusing on the distant future, I am doing my best, bit by bit, day by day, as a daughter, wife and mother.  I just need everyone to stay healthy so we can all spend time together, in other words. 🙂

What is your aspiration in life?

My goal in life is to be happy to lead a fulfilling life surrounded by my loved ones.

My Nominees:

Chronic Pain with a Higher Perspective

Ramblings of a Wonky Girl

Marilynn Rose

Clatchet Chronicles

Sandmoos

I hope you have fun with the nomination.  🙂

My Questions:

  • What made you start blogging?
  • What is your favorite food?
  • What is your lifelong goal?
  • Is there someone you would love to spend an afternoon with?
  • If there is one advice you would like to share with the world, what would it be?

Have a great weekend, all!

  2. A lovely tag and I liked your answers. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with not dwelling on the future since it’s in this moment that life is happening. It’s worth the attention and enjoyment because tomorrow it will be gone. ❤
